Free Pipe Project

Free Pipe Project

Dave has found that there are many new smokers that just don’t know where to start. The idea of buying a pipe or tobacco is daunting with so many pipe and tobacco options out there. With that in mind he started The Free Pipe Project.

The project is a great way for the community as a whole to come together and help new smokers and our military get a great start into the hobby. Pipe smokers from all around the world donate their old unwanted pipes, new pipes, tobacco, and other smoking related products. Dave takes them all in, does any restoration that may need done, and then sends them back out to new smokers and our deployed military virtually free of charge.

He only asks recipients to pay the shipping and in return each person gets 2 pipes, a selection of tobacco, and anything else that he may have on hand such as a rack, a magazine, a tamper, or pouch. It just depends on what has been donated. Everything that comes in goes back out. Dave donates his time as well as the thousands of pipe cleaners that it takes to restore the hundreds of pipes that have found new owners.
